23 Indian PSL Broadcast Crew Members Sent Back Amid Rising Tensions

Amid growing tensions between India and Pakistan, 23 Indian nationals working with the broadcast team for Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 have been sent back to India.
A police spokesperson confirmed that the group was escorted to the Wagah border in Lahore and repatriated following instructions from the Pakistani government. The move comes after an attack in Pahalgam, Indian-occupied Kashmir, where 26 tourists lost their lives.
The situation has further strained relations between the two countries. India’s foreign ministry recently announced the closure of the Attari-Wagah border for Pakistani citizens travelling under the SAARC visa exemption.
In response, Pakistan has decided to immediately shut down the Wagah Border Post for all cross-border transit from India. Only individuals who have already crossed with valid documents are allowed to return through this route, but no later than April 30, 2025.
Officials stated that these decisions have been made in the interest of national security and public safety.
