4.8-magnitude earthquake strikes parts of Punjab

A 4.8-magnitude earthquake shook parts of Punjab on Thursday, as reported by ARY News, citing the National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC).
The tremors sent residents rushing out of their homes in fear, with many reciting Kalma-e-Tayyaba for comfort and safety.
According to the NSMC, the earthquake was felt in various cities across Punjab, including Gujrat, Jhelum, Nankana Sahib, Jalalpur Bhatia, Wazirabad, Shahkot, and Bhalwal.
The earthquake, with a magnitude of 4.8, had a depth of 15 kilometres, and its epicentre was located near Kharian. Fortunately, no reports of casualties or damage to property have emerged following the seismic event.
