5.2 magnitude earthquake strikes Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and AJK, causing panic

A 5.2 magnitude earthquake jolted parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) on Thursday, including major cities like Peshawar and Muzaffarabad, sparking fear and panic among residents.
The earthquake’s epicentre was located in the border region between Afghanistan and Tajikistan, at a depth of 212 kilometres, according to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre in Islamabad. The tremors were felt across several areas, with people rushing out of buildings in panic.
No immediate reports of casualties or major damages have been received, but authorities are assessing the situation. Emergency teams have been put on alert as a precautionary measure in case of aftershocks.
