Lahore High Court acquits four accused in Pakpattan honour killing case

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday acquitted four individuals previously convicted in an honour killing case registered in Pakpattan.
The accused, who had been sentenced to life imprisonment and seven years in prison, challenged their convictions in the LHC. Chief Justice Aalia Neelum issued a 22-page written verdict overturning their sentences.
Among the acquitted individuals were Ali Akbar and Hafiz Arshad, who had been charged with the murder of Muhammad Ali. The case was registered in 2020 under murder charges.
