Now it is possible to register marriage, divorce or death in NADRA from home on mobile

NADRA has introduced a new mobile application that lets citizens register key life events—including births, deaths, and changes in marital status—without visiting any office.
The initiative was announced during a high-level policy meeting attended by both federal and provincial officials.
According to NADRA Chairman Lt Gen (Retd) Muhammad Munir Afsar, the app will first roll out in Punjab. Biometric verification services will also be made available at union councils to support the system.
The goal is to improve public convenience and make the national database more accurate. A live demo of the app was shown to local government representatives during the meeting.
In Islamabad, NADRA is also introducing one-window service counters at union councils for faster service. Meanwhile, PTA is finalising the National Biometric Policy to support this digital shift.
