Pakistan Releases Proof of Downed Indian Jets: DG ISPR Joint Press Conference

Islamabad, In a major joint press conference, the Director General of ISPR, alongside senior Pakistan Air Force officials, unveiled undeniable evidence of Indian aircraft being shot down during recent aerial skirmishes.
According to the DG ISPR, on the night of May 6 and 7, one of the longest aerial dogfights in Pakistan-India history took place, lasting over an hour. During this intense exchange, the Pakistan Air Force shot down five Indian jets, including three Rafale fighters, one Mig-29, and one SU-30.
Despite India’s initial denial, multiple Indian media outlets confirmed the crashes—reports that were later pulled under government pressure. The DG ISPR presented physical evidence, including tail numbers, crash locations, and wreckage footage, showing identifiable parts like engines and the tail section of a Rafale jet from India’s 17 Golden Arrows Squadron.
“We are living in the 21st century, not the 18th — everything leaves a trace,” said the DG ISPR, pointing to irrefutable data and eyewitness accounts.
International and Indian media also echoed the events. A BBC correspondent reported hearing explosions in the Pampore area of Indian-administered Kashmir, while another blast was reported in Ramban. Veteran Indian journalist Praveen Swahney confirmed the destruction of at least three Indian jets, and even newspapers like Indian Express and The Hindu briefly reported similar incidents near Bathinda before the stories were taken down.
Swahney and fellow journalist Karan Thapar reportedly faced censorship on the Indian platform “The Wire” for speaking out about the losses.
