Iran Launches Massive Missile Strike on Israel

Tensions between Iran and Israel have reached a critical point as Iran launched its fifth major missile strike early Saturday morning, targeting multiple locations across Israel. Loud explosions echoed through Tel Aviv and Jerusalem as dozens of missiles rained down, marking one of the most intense escalations in the ongoing conflict.
According to Israeli media reports, several Iranian missiles struck sites in Tel Aviv, including a building reportedly associated with the Ministry of Defence. At least two missiles also landed in the Gush Dan region. The attack triggered widespread fires, causing extensive damage to infrastructure and injuring at least 63 people. Several buildings have reportedly been destroyed.
The Israeli military confirmed that while some incoming missiles were intercepted mid-air, others managed to reach their targets. Emergency alerts have been issued across central Israel, and civilians have been instructed to take shelter in secure locations.
Iran’s military has described the assault as part of “Operation True Promise III”, claiming it to be a retaliatory response to recent Israeli actions in the region. Iranian sources state that more than 300 missiles, including ballistic and hypersonic variants, have been launched as part of this wave.
Earlier phases of the operation saw Iran firing missiles in three intervals over the course of an hour: the first with around 100 missiles, the second with 50, and a third wave of a similar size.
Military analysts warn that this level of military engagement could be a precursor to a wider regional conflict, especially if both sides continue to escalate without diplomatic intervention.
Israeli media have reported that a 32-storey building in Tel Aviv caught fire as a result of the strikes. In total, five major impact sites have been confirmed in Tel Aviv, with at least nine additional targets hit in central Israel. The attacks have resulted in four confirmed fatalities and over 60 injuries, with emergency services still assessing the full extent of the damage.
