PM Shehbaz reaffirms full support for Iran in call with President Pezeshkian

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian to discuss the evolving Middle East situation, regional peace, and the ceasefire.
PM Shehbaz emphasised that Pakistan was closely monitoring developments in the region and believed that dialogue and diplomacy were essential for lasting peace. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s full support for Iran at international forums, including the UN and OIC.
The Prime Minister also urged all parties to respect international law and the UN Charter.
President Pezeshkian thanked Pakistan for its consistent and principled support and appreciated its constructive role in promoting peace in the region.
Both leaders agreed on the importance of unity within the Muslim Ummah and strengthening bilateral ties.
