Sadiq Khan urges UK to immediately recognise Palestine as a State

London Mayor Sadiq Khan has called on the UK government to officially recognise Palestine as an independent state without delay.
In a statement on social media, Khan said: “There can be no two-state solution if there’s no Palestinian state left to recognise.” He described the situation in Gaza as horrific, noting that starving children are searching for food in the rubble. Unarmed Palestinian families waiting for aid are being killed by Israeli forces.
Khan stressed that Israel’s actions are unjustifiable and urged both the UK and the international community to take stronger action to pressure Israel. “The UK must show moral leadership and take a bold stance by recognising Palestine now,” he added.
