Petroleum prices are expected to rise from November 16. Proposal sent to OGRA

Islamabad — The prices of petroleum products in Pakistan are expected to rise from November 16, with the oil industry submitting its preliminary calculations to the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA). According to sources, the proposed increase includes a hike of PKR 2.60 per litre for petrol and an estimated PKR 6 per litre for high-speed diesel.
Additionally, the prices of light diesel and kerosene are expected to increase by PKR 6 and PKR 5.54 per litre, respectively. Sources report that the ex-refinery price of petrol is projected to increase from PKR 163.98 to PKR 166.56 per litre, while the price of high-speed diesel is anticipated to rise from PKR 174 to PKR 180.20 per litre.
The final decision on the price adjustments will be made by OGRA and the Ministry of Finance before they take effect on November 16.
The latest price hike on October 31 pushed petrol prices up by Rs1.35 per litre, setting the new rate at Rs248.38 per litre. High-speed diesel (HSD) saw a more substantial increase of Rs3.85, now priced at Rs255.14 per litre
