Major Gold Heist at National Bank Gujarat Exposed, Six Officials Arrested

In Gujarat, a major gold theft at three National Bank branches has been uncovered. The stolen gold is worth over 90 million rupees. Bank employees replaced real gold from lockers with fake items. The discovery shocked both authorities and customers.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) acted swiftly. They arrested six bank officials involved in the scam. The accused include Abu Bakar Zahid, Shoaib Sharif, Khalid Mehmood, Saadat Ali Bhatti, Mohtashim Abid, and Muhammad Ali. Investigations are ongoing.
The theft occurred in three branches: Tanda, Service Industries, and Mangowal. Officials reported 55 million rupees’ worth of gold stolen from Tanda. Service industries lost 20 million, while Mangowal lost 15 million.
FIA sources revealed a jeweller named Mohsin is also involved. He remains at large. Authorities have seized a shop in the local gold market linked to the crime. Further raids are planned to recover more gold.
Bank management assured affected customers of full compensation. They confirmed losses will be replaced after verification. Investigations continue in other branches to ensure security and prevent future fraud.
