Pakistan Face Afghanistan in Opening Match of Tri-Nation T20 Series

The tri-nation T20 series begins today in the United Arab Emirates. Pakistan, Afghanistan, and UAE are competing in the tournament. The opening clash will be played in Sharjah between Pakistan and Afghanistan at 7 PM local time.
Ahead of the series, the trophy was unveiled in a special ceremony. Captains from all three teams attended the event. Pakistan’s skipper Salman Ali Agha, Afghanistan’s captain Rashid Khan, and UAE’s captain Muhammad Waseem posed for photos with the trophy.
Speaking at a press conference, Salman Ali Agha expressed confidence in his team. He said preparation was strong and outside criticism from former players would not affect the squad. He highlighted unity and focus as the key strengths of his side.
Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan also shared his thoughts before the opener. He admitted the team had not played T20 tournaments for several months. However, he assured fans that the players were determined to perform well and give their best.
The tournament format allows each team to face the others twice. This ensures several exciting contests for fans before the deciding match. The round-robin stage will determine the two teams who qualify for the final.
