Pakistan Urges Dialogue and Diplomacy to Resolve Global Conflicts

Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Asim Iftikhar, said that Pakistan strongly believes in resolving conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy. He stressed that peaceful talks are the best way to avoid further suffering and instability, a message highlighted through the Pakistan supports dialogue for conflict resolution.
Asim Iftikhar said that the Russia-Ukraine war is creating serious challenges for the region and beyond. He urged all sides to choose discussions instead of violence and to work toward a peaceful settlement.

He explained that Pakistan has concerns about the Russia-Ukraine conflict because the war is causing hardships for civilians. He added that international law must be respected and civilians, along with essential infrastructure, must be protected.
The Pakistani envoy made it clear that there is no military solution to the Russia-Ukraine conflict. He called on both sides to reduce tensions, move away from confrontation, and take steps toward direct negotiations. Pakistan supports all global efforts that promote talks and peaceful solutions.

Recently, US media reported that the Trump administration was quietly consulting Russia about a possible plan to end the Ukraine war. Later, media sources claimed that President Trump approved a new peace plan, which includes a 28-point roadmap for security guarantees, European stability, and future relations among the US, Russia, and Ukraine—an effort linked to the idea that Pakistan supports dialogue for conflict resolution.
