Petrol Pump Owner Shot Dead in Rawalpindi Attack

The city witnessed another shocking incident as a man was shot dead in a Rawalpindi targeted killing near his home in Samarzar. According to police, the victim was returning after picking up his daughters from school when two armed men on a motorcycle opened fire on him. The attack happened suddenly and caused fear in the entire neighborhood.
Police officials said the victim, Sardar Irshad, was the owner of a local petrol pump. CCTV footage of the incident has also emerged, showing the assailants fleeing the scene immediately after the shooting. Rescue teams arrived quickly, but the victim had already died on the spot due to severe bullet injuries.
A police spokesperson confirmed that senior officers have taken notice of the case and ordered a full investigation. SP Saddar Anam Sher visited the hospital and met the victim’s family, assuring them that the killers would be arrested soon. Authorities say all evidence from the crime scene is being collected to help in the investigation.

Initial police findings suggest that the murder appears to be linked to personal enmity. However, officials are not ruling out any possibilities and are examining all angles, including previous disputes and threats. The motive will be confirmed after the investigation is completed.
