Rear Admiral Abdul Munib, Commander of the Pakistan Fleet, observed the firing at sea. He commended the professionalism of the crew during the live-fire exercise. Munib reiterated the Pakistan Navy’s firm commitment to ensuring the seaward defense of Pakistan. He stressed the Navy’s determination to protect national maritime interests in all circumstances.

In related news, PNS SAIF has returned to Pakistan after a successful Overseas Deployment (OSD) to Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. The ship’s visit to Chattogram, Bangladesh, marked the first visit by a Pakistan Navy ship in over 20 years. The visit coincided with the presence of Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, and Bangladesh extended a warm welcome to the crew.

During its time in Sri Lanka, PNS SAIF participated in the International Fleet Review-25, part of Sri Lanka Navy’s 75th anniversary celebrations. The ship’s visit also included humanitarian operations in Sri Lanka, following a devastating cyclone. PNS SAIF used its Z9EC helicopter to deliver food, medical aid, and rescue stranded civilians.

These activities highlight the Pakistan Navy’s role in both combat readiness and international cooperation. The Navy continues to strengthen its regional presence while maintaining its focus on safeguarding national maritime security and providing humanitarian assistance when needed.
