WhatsApp has introduced new features aimed at improving user experience across devices, including long-awaited multi-account support for iPhone users and enhanced chat transfer options between platforms.

Parent company Meta confirmed that iPhone users can now manage two separate WhatsApp accounts on a single device. The feature, which was previously available on Android since 2023, is being rolled out globally in phases.

With this update, users no longer need multiple phones to maintain separate personal and professional accounts. Switching between profiles is designed to be simple, allowing users to toggle accounts through the settings menu by selecting their profile.

The setup process involves adding a second account within the app. Users can navigate to settings, choose the option to add a new account, and complete verification by entering a phone number and a one-time code. After setting up a profile name and optional image, the second account becomes active and accessible.

In addition to multi-account support, WhatsApp has also expanded its chat transfer capabilities. Previously, users could only move chats from Android to iPhone, but the latest update now enables transfers in both directions. This improvement aims to make switching devices easier and reduce the risk of losing conversation history.

The new features reflect Meta’s broader effort to create a more consistent experience for users across operating systems such as Android and iOS.

By simplifying account management and improving cross-platform functionality, WhatsApp continues to adapt to the needs of users who rely on the app for both personal and professional communication.
