Ahead of crucial talks between the United States and Iran, the American delegation has brought its own vehicles to Islamabad as part of enhanced security and logistical arrangements.

According to sources, a special aircraft arrived on Thursday carrying vehicles designated for the use of US officials during their stay. These vehicles will be used for the secure movement of the delegation across the city during the high-level diplomatic engagement.

The development comes just before the arrival of US Vice President JD Vance, who is leading the American side in the talks. The use of dedicated transport is considered part of strict security protocols typically followed during sensitive international negotiations.

Pakistan is hosting the two-day talks between the United States and Iran, drawing global attention. Initial discussions at the delegation level are expected to begin on Friday, followed by key negotiations on Saturday.

The US delegation will include senior officials such as Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

On the Iranian side, the delegation will be led by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.

The talks are aimed at reinforcing a recently announced ceasefire and exploring avenues for a long-term peace agreement amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East.

Security in Islamabad has been significantly tightened, with authorities implementing strict measures to ensure the safety of visiting delegations. Movement in certain areas has been restricted as part of these arrangements.

Officials hope the talks will lead to meaningful progress and help reduce regional tensions while strengthening Pakistan’s diplomatic role.
