Green Passport Restored Through Leadership and Historic National Efforts: Nawaz Sharif

Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said the green passport is regaining respect due to strong leadership and historic national efforts. He credited Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Ishaq Dar, and Field Marshal Asim Munir for this progress. He described their roles as vital in restoring Pakistan’s global image.

Moreover, Nawaz Sharif chaired a high-level parliamentary board meeting on Gilgit-Baltistan. The meeting included senior party leaders and government officials. During his address, he emphasized the party’s long-standing connection with the region and highlighted its development contributions.

In addition, he pointed to major infrastructure projects in Gilgit-Baltistan. He noted that a road project worth over Rs60 billion has reduced travel distances and improved connectivity. He said such development work reflects the rights of local people and the government’s commitment to progress.

Furthermore, Nawaz Sharif praised the performance of his party in federal and provincial governments. He stated that significant work is underway in both the federation and Punjab. He urged other provinces to follow this example and improve governance and public service delivery.

However, he criticized the situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He questioned the performance of the ruling party over the past 15 years and claimed that citizens still lack proper healthcare facilities. In conclusion, he reiterated that the green passport is being restored through leadership and historic national efforts.
