Ceasefire Ending Soon While Iran Decision on Talks Remains Pending: Attaullah Tarar

Pakistan’s Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said the Iran-US ceasefire is nearing its end, creating urgency around diplomatic efforts. He stated that the ceasefire will expire on April 22 at 4:50 a.m. Pakistan time. This timeline has increased focus on ongoing peace efforts.
Moreover, Tarar shared on the platform X that Iran has not yet confirmed participation in peace talks in Islamabad. He noted that Pakistan is still waiting for a formal response from Iranian authorities. This uncertainty has raised concerns ahead of the ceasefire deadline.
In addition, he explained that Pakistan continues to act as a mediator between Iran and United States. Officials remain in constant contact with Iranian counterparts. The government is actively promoting dialogue and diplomacy to avoid further escalation.
