Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that Pakistan’s top leadership, including the Prime Minister and the Field Marshal, is actively engaged in extensive efforts at all levels to help resolve the ongoing United States–Iran tensions through diplomacy.

He made the remarks during a meeting with US Chargé d’Affaires Natalie Baker, where both sides discussed the evolving regional situation in detail. The meeting also focused on diplomatic initiatives related to the possible second round of talks scheduled in Islamabad and broader efforts to maintain communication channels between Washington and Tehran.

According to officials, the discussion emphasized the importance of sustaining diplomatic pathways for a long-term resolution of the US-Iran conflict. Both sides agreed that continued engagement is essential to prevent further escalation and to support regional stability.

Mohsin Naqvi welcomed US President Donald Trump’s move to extend the ceasefire, describing it as a positive development that could help create space for dialogue. He reiterated that Pakistan’s leadership is committed to facilitating peaceful solutions and is working continuously to support mediation efforts.

He added that it is hoped both parties will take advantage of diplomatic and peaceful opportunities to resolve their differences. Pakistan, he said, remains committed to playing a constructive role in reducing tensions and supporting negotiations.

US diplomat Natalie Baker, on her part, appreciated Pakistan’s constructive engagement and its role in encouraging dialogue aimed at peace and stability in the region.

The meeting reflects ongoing diplomatic coordination between Pakistan and the United States amid heightened regional tensions, with Islamabad positioning itself as a facilitator for communication and potential negotiation between the conflicting sides.
