Police in Lahore have uncovered alleged links between a major drug trafficking network and the former husband of Anmol, also known as Pinky, who was recently arrested in a narcotics-related case.

According to Lahore police officials, investigations revealed that Nasser, the ex-husband of Anmol alias Pinky, along with his two brothers, was actively involved in the illegal drug trade. Authorities stated that the group initially moved from Gujranwala to Lahore, where they began their activities by operating guest houses and an alcohol-related business.

Police further disclosed that the operation later expanded when Nasser, along with his brothers, a friend, and a brother-in-law, allegedly shifted into the production and distribution of cocaine. Investigators claim that Nasser played a central role in organising and expanding the network across major cities, including Lahore and Karachi.

Officials added that Nasser is also accused of training Anmol alias Pinky in cocaine preparation techniques. According to police, the couple jointly supplied drugs across various regions of Pakistan before the operation was later shifted to Karachi, where it continued under the involvement of multiple associates.

Lahore police stated that Anmol alias Pinky had divorced Nasser in 2021 on the advice of a former inspector, Rana Akram. Following her arrest, she has alleged that her former husband is responsible for the circumstances leading to her current legal troubles.

Authorities have not yet independently verified all claims made by the accused individuals but confirmed that investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of the network and identify additional suspects involved in the drug trade.

Police officials emphasised that strict action is being taken against narcotics networks operating across Punjab and other provinces, and further arrests are expected as the probe continues.
