Bill Gates reveals potential autism diagnosis in upcoming memoir

NEW YORK – Microsoft founder and renowned billionaire Bill Gates has made a surprising revelation in his upcoming book, “Source Code: My Beginnings,“ suggesting that he might have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) had he grown up in today’s world.
According to a report by Fox News, Gates shared an excerpt from the memoir in which he discusses the challenges his parents faced in understanding his complex behaviour as a child. Gates admitted that his brain functioned differently from others, but terms like “neurodivergent” or awareness about autism were not widely known or used during his youth.
He explained that while his parents struggled to comprehend his differences, they provided crucial support that helped improve his social skills over time. Gates emphasized that this development was gradual but pivotal in shaping his interactions with others.
In his memoir, Gates wrote, “I wouldn’t change the mind I was given for anything, but I do wish I could have gained social understanding sooner.”
Bill Gates’ book “Source Code: My Beginnings” is set to be published on February 4, offering readers an inside look into his early life and the experiences that shaped his career and personal growth.
