Sindh, Balochistan Bar associations welcome judges from other provinces to IHC

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has welcomed the appointment of justices from other provinces, according to the Sindh High Court Bar Association and the Balochistan High Court Bar.

Barrister Muhammad Sarfraz Ali Metlo, president of the Sindh High Court Bar Association, called the inclusion of judges from smaller provinces a good thing in an official statement. “This is a significant step towards reinforcing the federal character of the Islamabad High Court,” he said.

Attaullah Langau, the president of the Balochistan High Court Bar Association, too praised the action, highlighting that the president of Pakistan has the constitutional power to choose and relocate judges.
