A new era of crypto in Pakistan! Changpeng Zhao takes up a new position

In a groundbreaking development for Pakistan’s digital economy, Changpeng Zhao (CZ), founder of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, has been appointed as the Strategic Advisor to the Pakistan Crypto Council (PCC). The move signals Pakistan’s bold step towards embracing the future of finance and blockchain technology.

Bilal Bin Saqib, CEO of the Pakistan Crypto Council, announced the appointment, calling it a historic moment for the country’s digital journey. “Pakistan is opening its doors to the future of finance,” he said.

The announcement was made in the presence of Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, who, along with Bilal Bin Saqib, welcomed CZ to his new advisory role. As Strategic Advisor, CZ will guide Pakistan in key areas including regulation, blockchain infrastructure, education, and wider crypto adoption.

CZ expressed excitement about Pakistan’s potential, highlighting the country’s young and tech-savvy population. “Pakistan is a country of 240 million people, over 60% of whom are under the age of 30. The potential here is limitless,” CZ said.
