Actor Saif Ali Khan attacked in a robbery attempt at his Mumbai residence

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was severely injured during a robbery attempt at his Mumbai residence in Bandra West late last night. The incident unfolded when an unidentified individual broke into the actor’s apartment, leading to a violent confrontation between the two.

According to reports, actor Saif Ali Khan was awakened by noises inside his home, only to come face-to-face with the intruder. A scuffle ensued, during which the assailant attacked the actor with a knife before fleeing the scene.

The actor was quickly rushed to Lilavati Hospital by his elder son, Ibrahim, at around 3 AM. Dr. Neeraj Atmani, a medical professional at the hospital, stated that Saif Ali Khan sustained six stab wounds, two of which were deep. One of the wounds is located near his spine, with part of a blunt object lodged inside, while another deep wound was inflicted on his left wrist, which will require plastic surgery.

Doctors have confirmed that while the injuries are serious, they are not life-threatening. However, the full extent of the damage will only be clear after surgery and further evaluation.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Dakshat Gedam confirmed that the attacker is still unidentified and managed to break into the apartment and assault the actor. Police and crime branch teams are investigating the incident, reviewing CCTV footage to determine how the assailant bypassed security and entered the building. Authorities have detained three suspects for questioning.

In a statement released by Saif Ali Khan’s team, they confirmed the incident and said, “Saif Ali Khan’s residence was targeted in an attempted robbery in which he was injured. His surgery is ongoing. We request the media and his fans to remain patient as the matter is under police investigation.”
