Actress Humaira Asghar Ali Laid to Rest in Model Town

Lahore – Funeral prayers for actress Humaira Asghar Ali were offered today in Model Town, Lahore, after which she was laid to rest in the Q Block cemetery.

Her body had arrived in Lahore from Karachi the day before, accompanied by her brother, brother-in-law, and other relatives in an ambulance.

Speaking to the media, her uncle, Muhammad Ali, shared that they remained in contact with Humaira over the phone, and she would visit their home whenever she came to Lahore. However, he mentioned that the family did not have the exact address of her residence in Karachi, and when her phone was switched off, they could not reach her.

He said that Humaira was passionate about working in showbiz and seemed happy with her career, although her parents were not entirely supportive of her decision. Her mother had passed away, and the family is currently grieving her loss.

Naveed Asghar, her brother, told the media that legal procedures delayed the handover of her body, as it was initially in police custody. He said they had been in contact with the police and a welfare organisation for three days before receiving the body.

He added that Humaira was well-educated, had moved to Karachi in 2018, pursued her art and painting, and appeared to be content with her work and life there.
