Islamabad: Following China’s support, Turkey has also expressed solidarity with Pakistan amid rising tensions sparked by India’s aggressive statements.

During a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Turkish ambassador reaffirmed his country’s support for Pakistan’s stance and stressed the need to de-escalate tensions in the current crisis.

Prime Minister Sharif stated that India is attempting to link Pakistan to the recent incident in Pahalgam without providing any credible evidence. He reiterated that Pakistan has consistently condemned terrorism in all its forms.

He also welcomed Turkey’s possible participation in any international investigation into the matter.

The Prime Minister further said that India’s baseless accusations are an attempt to divert attention from Pakistan’s ongoing economic recovery and counter-terrorism efforts. He noted that Turkey’s support reflects the deep-rooted and historic ties between the two nations.
