ISLAMABAD – Aleema Khan, sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, criticized the FIA’s handling of the Toshakhana-II case. She said the investigation lacked professionalism and raised serious concerns. Aleema revealed that the investigating officer interrogated 22 people in one day. She argued this showed the FIA’s limited capability. She also said the case would have ended quickly in a regular court.

Aleema further claimed the Toshakhana-II case is now leaning towards acquittal. She noted the Islamabad High Court set the Al-Qadir Trust case hearing for September 16. This date follows the delivery of the Toshakhana-II verdict. She insisted the case is politically motivated but failing due to weak evidence. Her comments underline the growing legal challenges facing PTI.

Speaking about Imran Khan’s communications, Aleema said the family manages his official messages. She confirmed all statements from his official X account have his consent. She explained the family discusses messages before sharing them publicly. Aleema emphasized that speaking to the public is a democratic right, not a crime. This stresses PTI’s intent to engage with supporters openly.

Aleema also confirmed Imran Khan personally called for the upcoming rally on September 27. She expressed hope the rally would strengthen PTI’s political momentum. Earlier, outside the Supreme Court, she lamented the decline in suo motu actions by chief justices. She said the judiciary remains the last resort for justice amid political tensions.

Finally, Aleema Khan visited the Supreme Court to deliver a letter to Chief Justice Yahya Afridi. However, court security stopped her and the PTI legal team from reaching the Chief Justice’s chambers. She spoke to reporters about the incident and highlighted the difficulty of seeking justice. The event reflects ongoing friction between PTI and judicial authorities.
