Amir Habibollah appointed as Iran’s new Army Chief of Staff

According to Iranian media reports, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, was martyred in an Israeli airstrike late last night. In response, Amir Habibollah has been appointed as the new Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces.
The reports suggest that Israeli fighter jets targeted Tehran and several other major cities. The attacks reportedly resulted in the death of not only General Bagheri but also other high-ranking military officials and potentially key figures linked to Iran’s nuclear program.
