Anaya Bangar Says Indian Cricketers Harassed Her After Transition

Mumbai – Anaya Bangar, daughter of former Indian cricketer and coach Sanjay Bangar, has said that some Indian cricketers sent her inappropriate messages and photos after she transitioned.

In a recent interview, Anaya, who now lives in the UK, said she faced harassment and disrespect from people in the cricket world after announcing her gender transition in November 2023.

“Some players sent me obscene pictures,” she shared. “One of them even insulted me in public but secretly asked me for photos.”

Anaya also talked about how hard it is for transgender people in male-dominated sports. She said she always felt like a girl and found peace and support only after transitioning.
