Areej Chaudhary advocates for women carrying weapons for self-defense

Former Miss Pakistan, model, and actress Areej Chaudhary has stated that Pakistan is not a safe country, especially for women, and believes that girls should carry weapons for their protection.
Speaking on the podcast, Areej revealed that she has undergone proper training in handling firearms and knows how to use different types of weapons. She shared that she has always had an interest in firearms and started carrying a licensed weapon for her safety.
Areej further disclosed that carrying a weapon once helped her prevent an attempted abduction. She keeps her licensed firearm in her car and purse at all times as a precaution.
She emphasized that many women work late hours and often lack safe transportation to return home, making self-defense crucial. Dismissing concerns that women might misuse firearms, she stated that knowing when and how to use a weapon depends on a person’s mindset and responsibility.
Areej encouraged women to learn self-defense, including firearm training, to ensure their safety in uncertain situations.
