Army Chief Gen Asim Munir Praises Pakistani Media: “We Hid Nothing, Told the Truth”

Islamabad: Army Chief Gen Asim Munir Praises Pakistani Media: “We Hid Nothing, Told the Truth”.
Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir lauded the role of Pakistani media during recent national events, saying it acted responsibly and effectively countered hostile narratives, particularly from across the border.
Speaking informally to journalists at a ceremony held in Islamabad to mark Youm-e-Tashakur (Thanksgiving Day), General Munir said, “We hid nothing; we conveyed the truth. The entire nation stood united in the face of the enemy, and the way our media responded is something we are proud of.”
He commended the media’s responsible behaviour and said, “The role of Pakistani media throughout this period has been exemplary. The way it responded to Indian media will be remembered.”
The Army Chief emphasised that the media’s conduct was not only professional but also patriotic, reflecting unity and national strength during testing times.
His remarks come in the backdrop of increased propaganda from Indian media outlets, which Pakistani journalists and media houses countered with fact-based reporting and a united stance.
General Munir’s appreciation highlights the growing recognition of media as a key player in national security narratives and public resilience.
