Asia Cup 2025 Likely to Begin on September

The much-awaited Asia Cup 2025 is likely to begin in the second week of September, with September 10 being the expected start date, according to a report by Cricbuzz. Although the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has not made an official announcement yet, the complete schedule is expected to be released in early July.

This edition of the Asia Cup will be played in the T20 format, featuring six teams: India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Although India is the official host of the tournament, the UAE is likely to host the matches due to ongoing political tensions between India and Pakistan. The ACC is reportedly considering a hybrid format, similar to the 2023 edition, to accommodate both hosting logistics and regional sensitivities.

Cricket fans across Asia are eagerly waiting for the high-octane clashes, especially between arch-rivals India and Pakistan, as the tournament serves as a key lead-up to the ICC T20 World Cup 2026.
