Beauty Influencer Valeria Márquez Shot Dead During TikTok Live Stream

In a tragic incident that has shocked social media users worldwide, a young beauty influencer, Valeria Márquez, was shot and killed during a TikTok live stream in Zapopan, located in Mexico’s Jalisco state.

The 23-year-old influencer, Valeria “Valle” Márquez, was interacting with her followers from a beauty salon when an unidentified attacker entered the premises and opened fire, fatally wounding her.

According to local law enforcement, the case is being treated as femicide, a legal term used in Mexico to describe the gender-based killing of a woman, underscoring the seriousness of the crime.

Reports indicate that moments before the attack, Márquez appeared visibly anxious on camera. She was seen holding a toy and saying, “They’re coming.” A voice off-camera asked, “Hey, Valle?” and she replied, “Yes,” just before the audio went silent. Gunshots were heard shortly afterward, and another woman is believed to have ended the livestream.

Márquez was a growing presence on social platforms, boasting nearly 200,000 followers across TikTok and Instagram. Earlier that day, she had mentioned in a post that a man had entered the salon offering an expensive gift, an encounter that reportedly left her unsettled.
