Peshawar: Bushra Bibi, wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, has urged party officials to devise strategies to resist arrests during their planned protest in Islamabad on November 24.
In a purported audio recording from the Chief Minister’s House, Bushra Bibi is allegedly heard instructing PTI officials on preparations, emphasising loyalty to the party, and countering potential disruptions, including an internet blockade.
“November 24 will be a loyalty test for PTI members,” Bushra Bibi reportedly stated, adding that videos documenting the protest should be widely shared with local and international media. She warned that those failing to provide such footage might be excluded from receiving party tickets in future elections.
Addressing members of the Insaf Student Federation (ISF) and the PTI Youth Wing, Bushra Bibi urged youth mobilisation for the event. During the meeting, she conveyed a message from Imran Khan, expressing his trust in young supporters to play a pivotal role in the protest.
Bushra Bibi also met with key party officials, including Gul Zafar from Bajaur Agency, whom she praised for his contributions to PTI.
The protest announcement was earlier confirmed by Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, following a meeting with the incarcerated PTI chief. She stated that November 24 has been chosen as the date for the “final protest” in the federal capital, aimed at restoring the party’s mandate allegedly stolen earlier this year.
Meanwhile, KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has vowed to remain on the ground until Imran Khan’s release, further rallying party members in the lead-up to the planned demonstration.
