Chennai family court grants divorce to actor Dhanush and Aishwarya Rajinikanth

The Chennai Family Welfare Court has granted a divorce to actor Dhanush and Aishwarya Rajinikanth, bringing an end to their 18-year marriage. On November 21, the couple appeared in court, where they expressed their decision to part ways and not continue their marriage. The court reserved its verdict, which was finalised on November 27.

Dhanush and Aishwarya, the daughter of legendary actor Rajinikanth, got married in a grand ceremony in Chennai in 2004. In a joint statement, the couple shared their feelings, saying, “We have spent 18 years as friends, spouses, parents, and well-wishers of each other. This journey was one of understanding, adjustment, and sacrifice. Today, we find ourselves at a point where our paths are diverging. We kindly request everyone to respect our privacy.”
