China announces 2025-26 scholarship program for Pakistani and AJK students

The Government of China has launched the 2025-26 Scholarship Program, offering Pakistani and Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) students the opportunity to pursue undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral studies, as well as conduct research in Chinese universities.
According to the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, the online application deadline for this prestigious scholarship is December 9, 2024.
To be eligible for consideration under the Chinese Government Scholarship Program 2025-26, applicants must have a valid HAT (Higher Education Aptitude Test) score obtained after December 9, 2022 or a valid USAT (University Studies Aptitude Test) score obtained after December 9, 2023. Applicants must submit their valid test scores through the HEC portal as part of their application.
The scholarship covers various academic programs, including undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral degrees, in a wide range of fields of study. The China Scholarship Council (CSC), under the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, is responsible for managing the scholarship program, with HEC acting as the nominating agency for Pakistani students.
To apply, students can submit their applications through the China Scholarship Council’s official portal under category A (agency No. 5861) at Campuschina.org or https://www.csc.edu.cn/laihua.
This initiative aims to strengthen educational ties between Pakistan and China and provide Pakistani students with access to world-class education and research opportunities in China. Applicants must be Pakistani or AJK nationals, as dual nationality holders are not eligible to apply.
For more details and to submit an online application, students are advised to visit the China Scholarship Council’s website or the HEC portal before the deadline.
