China Seeks Peaceful Development, Rejects Trump’s Nuclear Test Allegation

China has strongly denied U.S. President Donald Trump’s accusation that it is secretly conducting nuclear tests. The Chinese Foreign Ministry stated that the country has never violated any international agreements and that China seeks peaceful development. Officials emphasized that China’s nuclear policy is transparent and based on global peace and stability.

In a recent interview, President Trump claimed that Russia, China, North Korea, and Pakistan are carrying out secret nuclear tests. He said these nations conduct underground experiments so the world cannot detect them, adding that such activities could sometimes cause minor ground vibrations.

Responding to Trump’s remarks, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning dismissed the allegations as baseless. She explained that China fully abides by the global moratorium on nuclear testing and has never violated this international commitment.

The spokesperson added that China continues to follow its policy of “no first use” of nuclear weapons. As a responsible nuclear power, China maintains a defensive strategy and focuses on promoting peace and international stability.
