China Issues Travel Advisory for Citizens Visiting the US

Beijing: China has issued a travel advisory for its citizens on Wednesday planning to visit the United States, urging them to assess potential risks and exercise caution.

According to the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the advisory is a result of escalating trade tensions between China and the US, as well as concerns about domestic security in the United States. The Ministry emphasized that Chinese tourists should carefully consider these factors before traveling.

Additionally, the Chinese Ministry of Education has issued a warning to Chinese students, referencing a bill under consideration in Ohio’s state assembly. This bill includes provisions that could negatively affect China, particularly related to restrictions on academic exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and American universities. The Ministry of Education advises students to carefully evaluate potential risks when applying to US universities in the future.

This travel advisory comes at a time when China recently increased tariffs on all imports from the United States to 84%, following a decision by US President Donald Trump to impose a 104% tariff on Chinese products.

Furthermore, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce has added six more US companies to its “Unreliable Entity List,” which already includes 11 US firms. This move will make it more difficult for these American companies to operate in China.
