Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz emphasised the importance of universal education and proposed a global agreement to promote girls’ education during her address at the Anatolia Diplomacy Forum in Türkiye.

Highlighting the role of education in shaping a brighter future, Maryam Nawaz said, “Every child deserves access to education, and we must ensure that girls, in particular, are not left behind.” She stressed the need for collaborative teaching strategies, inclusive educational policies, and international cooperation to advance learning opportunities across borders.

The chief minister extended an invitation to leading Turkish universities to set up campuses in Punjab, fostering academic and cultural exchange between the two countries. She also urged Turkish institutions to establish youth centres in Punjab, which would serve as platforms for innovation, skills development, and leadership training.

“We envision a long-term partnership with Türkiye that will not only strengthen our education systems but also empower the next generation through knowledge sharing and joint initiatives,” she stated.

Maryam Nawaz praised the leadership of the Turkish First Lady in organising the forum, calling it a remarkable example of women’s leadership on the international stage. She described the Anatolia Diplomacy Forum as a successful model for promoting dialogue, inclusion, and progress.
