CM Maryam Nawaz launches incentive program, awards tractors to farmers

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched a new Incentive Program aimed at supporting farmers, under which 1,000 tractors will be awarded to wheat growers through a lucky draw.

During the launch ceremony, CM Maryam Nawaz pressed the button to initiate the draw and distributed the first tractor to Kausar Parveen, a female farmer from Bahawalnagar.

She also congratulated other successful farmers, including Muhammad Iqbal from Jhang and Salman Ahmed from Mandi Bahauddin, wishing them a prosperous wheat harvest.

According to official figures, 57,733 landowners with 12.5 acres of land applied for the scheme, out of which 21,496 were deemed eligible for the draw. The selected farmers will receive 55-horsepower tractors, with deliveries set to begin within three months.

As part of this initiative, wheat has been cultivated on 560,000 acres across Punjab this year, further boosting agricultural productivity in the province.
