A case has been registered at the Taxila police station following the killing of a police officer and injuries to others near Hakla Interchange. The charges include provisions from the Anti-Terrorism Act and 14 sections of the Pakistan Penal Code.

The FIR, filed on behalf of the police, names several individuals, including PTI’s founder, Umar Amin Gandapur, Salar Khan Kakar, and Shahid Khattak, as accused.

According to police, the suspects attacked officers using tear gas guns, rubber bullet guns, and other weapons. Sticks, rods, and stones were also reportedly used during the assault, which violated Section 144. The police allege the attack was a conspiracy against law enforcement.

Constable Mubashir Hassan sustained critical injuries during the attack and was reportedly abducted by the suspects in a red vehicle. Later, they abandoned him under the Hakla Bridge and fled the scene. Mubashir was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

Three other officers, Constables Adnan, Raees, and Naeem, were also injured in the incident. Authorities are continuing their investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice.
