Cristiano Ronaldo Becomes World’s First Billionaire Footballer
Portuguese football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has officially become the world’s first billionaire footballer, achieving yet another milestone — this time off the field.

According to a Bloomberg report, the 40-year-old Saudi club Al Nassr star has reached a net worth of $1.4 billion, thanks to decades of success on the pitch and highly lucrative endorsement deals with major brands like Nike, Armani, and Castrol.

Ronaldo, who has scored more than 940 goals in his career, has earned over $550 million from salaries alone between 2002 and 2023. His latest deal with Al Nassr, worth over $400 million, has placed him among the richest athletes in the world.

The Saudi contract includes tax-free annual earnings of $200 million, equity shares, and the use of a private jet — benefits unavailable in most European leagues.

Despite criticism over joining a less competitive league, the move to Saudi Arabia has proven financially historic. Ronaldo, however, insists he has no plans to retire yet, aiming to score 1,000 career goals before hanging up his boots.

He also shared dreams of owning multiple football clubs in the future, similar to football icon David Beckham.
