The spokesperson for the Pakistan Armed Forces, DG ISPR, held an important press conference with international media, attended by senior officers from the Pakistan Air Force and Pakistan Navy.
During the briefing, DG ISPR addressed allegations made by India regarding the incident in Pahalgam, stating that the event occurred, and within just 10 minutes, Pakistan was blamed without any investigation. He highlighted the unusual timing of the police report, which was filed only 10 minutes after the incident, despite the police station being 30 minutes away from the scene.
DG ISPR stated that the Pahalgam incident took place at 2:20 AM, and the FIR was registered at 2:30 AM, showing how quickly the allegations were made, despite the lack of evidence. He pointed out that the incident has raised questions not just internationally but also amongst the Indian public, who are now questioning their government’s claims.
He further emphasised that the Modi government used the incident to divert attention from domestic issues, lacking answers to the questions raised by the Indian public. He accused India of launching an attack on Pakistan without evidence or justification, creating tensions in the region.“India has yet to provide any evidence against Pakistan,” DG ISPR said, calling for an end to baseless aggression.
He revealed that Pakistan had offered to cooperate in investigations and proposed involving a third party, but India had refused to be transparent. DG ISPR also condemned India’s actions against Kashmiri Muslims, claiming that the Indian government is using the Pahalgam incident as a cover to target Muslims, subjecting them to torture and killings. He accused India of labelling killed Kashmiri individuals as terrorists after murdering them.
