Diplomatic talks between Pakistan and Bangladesh resume after 15 years

Dhaka: After a gap of 15 years, Pakistan and Bangladesh resumed diplomatic engagement with the 6th round of Foreign Secretary-level consultations held in Dhaka, focusing on expanding bilateral cooperation.
Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch met with her Bangladeshi counterpart, Masud Bin Momen, along with their respective delegations. The discussions covered a wide range of areas, including political, economic, trade, education, agriculture, culture, environment, and defense cooperation.
In addition to the main talks, Amna Baloch also held separate meetings with Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus and Foreign Affairs Advisor M.D. Touhid Hossain, where they discussed key regional issues including the revival of SAARC, youth engagement, regional integration, investment, and trade opportunities.
This round of consultations is being seen as a significant step toward rebuilding and strengthening bilateral relations between the two South Asian nations.
