Disorder in Indian Army: Firing Between Units Near LoC Leaves 5 Sikh Soldiers Dead

A troubling incident of internal conflict has emerged from the Indian Army, highlighting growing disorder within its ranks. According to sources, five Sikh soldiers lost their lives in an exchange of fire between two Indian Army units near the Line of Control (LoC).

The incident reportedly took place during the night between April 25 and 26 in the Jhapala Bridge area of the Baramulla sector, located in Indian-occupied Kashmir. While on patrol, members of the Border Security Force’s (BSF) 185th Battalion allegedly opened fire on troops from the 13 Sikh Light Infantry Regiment, which operates under the 12th Brigade.

The shooting triggered outrage among the 13 Sikh Regiment personnel. Defence analysts suggest this clash is a reflection of growing mistrust, frustration, and a lack of discipline within the Indian military.

Experts point out that similar incidents have occurred in the past, indicating deep-rooted internal challenges faced by the Indian armed forces.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Army remains fully alert and prepared to respond decisively to any Indian aggression.
