Eid Special Train Departs for Peshawar with Over 400 Passengers

The Eid Special Train has successfully departed from Quetta, carrying over 400 passengers bound for Peshawar. The resumption of the train service, which had been temporarily halted, has been met with excitement and joy from travellers eager to reconnect with family and loved ones for the Eid celebrations.
The train, consisting of nine coaches, was dispatched with heightened security measures in place to ensure the safety of all passengers. Railway officials confirmed that heavy contingents of police and Frontier Corps (FC) personnel have been deployed onboard the train. Additionally, strict security arrangements have been made at Quetta Railway Station, with thorough checks conducted before departure.
“The resumption of this vital train service comes as a relief to many travellers who rely on the train for long-distance travel during the holiday season. The Eid Special Train will reach Peshawar by tomorrow evening,” said a spokesperson from the Pakistan Railways.
The return of the Eid Special Train is seen as part of the railway department’s efforts to meet the increased demand for travel during the festive season.
In another update, the Bolan Mail service, which operates between Quetta and Karachi, will also resume daily operations starting March 31. This marks a significant step towards enhancing transportation connectivity across the region.
