England announces 14-member squad for first test against India

London: The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced a 14-member squad for the upcoming first Test against India, scheduled to begin on June 20 at Headingley.
Ben Stokes will lead the side, while fast bowler Gus Atkinson has been ruled out due to injury. Key players in the squad include Joe Root, Ollie Pope, Ben Duckett, Chris Woakes, Harry Brook, Jamie Overton, Shoaib Bashir, Jacob Bethell, and Sam Cook.
The first Test match of the series will be played at Headingley on June 20. The second Test will start from July 2 to 6 in Birmingham. The third Test will be played at Lord’s from July 10 to 14. The fourth Test will be played at Old Trafford while the fifth and final Test will be played at The Oval from July 31 to August 4.
