Erdoğan: Netanyahu has surpassed Hitler in cruelty

Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had “surpassed Hitler in cruelty.”
Addressing the Turkish Parliament, Erdoğan said Iran’s defence against Israeli aggression is “natural, legitimate, and lawful.” He accused Israel of possessing nuclear weapons while repeatedly violating international law.
Erdoğan held phone calls with U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, discussing regional tensions and the escalating Iran-Israel conflict.
He warned that Israeli aggression poses a serious threat to regional stability and stressed that the Middle East cannot afford another war.
Erdoğan emphasised that diplomacy is the only solution to issues involving Iran, and accused Israel of provoking conflict to distract from its actions in Gaza, which he described as genocide.
President Erdoğan reaffirmed that Türkiye is ready to play a role in facilitating a peaceful resolution to the Iran-Israel standoff.
