FBR Offers Rs. 500,000 Reward for Smuggling Tip-Offs

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has launched a major initiative to combat smuggling by establishing the Customs Command Fund, offering citizens a chance to win a cash reward of up to Rs. 500,000 for providing credible information on smuggling activities.

According to details, the newly established fund is aimed at strengthening anti-smuggling operations across Pakistan and encouraging active public participation. The FBR has announced that individuals who share reliable information leading to successful action against smuggling will be eligible for the reward.

In addition to public involvement, customs officers who take part in successful anti-smuggling operations will also receive special incentives as part of the initiative.

The Customs Command Fund will also help cover operational expenses, including logistics and procurement of equipment, to enhance the effectiveness of anti-smuggling efforts.

This initiative is designed to minimise economic losses caused by illegal trade, improve revenue collection, protect legitimate businesses, and promote a more transparent and efficient trade environment in the country.
